Vendor Policy

Last Updated: March 2026

At paiti, we believe in the dignity of work and the empowerment of local skilled workers. This policy outlines our commitment to our Vendor partners and the standards expected from them.

1. Zero Commission Model

Unlike other platforms, Paiti does not take any commission or percentage from a vendor's earnings. We operate as a digital connector that provides you with high-quality service leads. What you negotiate and settle with the customer for your "paiti" or labor is 100% yours to keep. We only charge a minimum platform and convenience fee directly to the customer at the time of booking.

2. Vendor Onboarding

All partners must undergo a verification process to ensure they possess the necessary skills and integrity to serve the township community. We require valid ID proof and, where applicable, certifications of skill.

3. Professional Standards

Vendors are expected to maintain the highest levels of professionalism, including:

  • Punctuality for all scheduled service bookings.
  • Integrity in pricing and material assessment.
  • Polite and respectful conduct with customers.
  • Maintaining a clean work area post-completion of the task.

4. Pricing Fairness

Vendors are free to set and negotiate their own reasonable rates directly with the customer. Paiti's role is to facilitate the initial connection; the final settlement of the service amount happens directly between you and the customer. However, any deliberate overcharging or lack of transparency regarding material costs will lead to immediate removal from the platform.

5. Skill Development

We are committed to helping our local partners grow. Paiti provides a platform for vendors to build their digital reputation through genuine customer ratings and reviews, which helps them secure more work within the community.

6. Termination of Partnership

Paiti reserves the right to suspend or terminate a vendor's account in case of repeated customer complaints, unethical behavior, violation of this policy, or any criminal activity.

7. Identity Verification (KYC)

To maintain trust, all vendors must complete a "Know Your Vendor" (KYC) process. This includes providing a valid government-issued ID (Aadhar/PAN) and, where applicable, proof of certification for specialized "paiti" such as electrical or structural work.

8. Safety, Liability and Indemnification

Vendors are independent professionals and are responsible for their own safety and the safety of the customer's property while performing a task. Paiti is not liable for any injuries, accidents, or property damage occurring during a service visit. Furthermore, you agree to indemnify and hold Paiti harmless from any claims, losses, or legal actions arising out of your services, negligence, or breach of this policy.

9. Non-Bypass Clause

To ensure a record of your work and for the safety of both parties, we strongly encourage all subsequent bookings from the same customer to be processed through the Paiti platform. Bypassing the platform for future work with a connected customer is discouraged as it removes the safety and history tracking benefits for both parties.

10. Ratings and Feedback

Our community-driven rating system is vital. High-rated vendors receive more visibility and leads. We monitor feedback closely and will provide guidance to vendors whose ratings fall below our quality threshold.

11. Independent Contractor & Intermediary Status

By partnering with Paiti, you acknowledge that you are an independent contractor and not an employee, agent, or partner of Paiti. You have no authority to bind Paiti to any obligation, and you are responsible for providing your own tools, transport, and equipment. Paiti acts solely as an "Intermediary" under the Information Technology Act, 2000, and its role is strictly limited to connecting customers with independent vendors.

12. Service Warranty and Rework

As the service provider, you are solely responsible for the quality of your work. Any requirements for rework, repairs, or warranties must be handled directly between you and the customer. Paiti does not provide any warranty on the services performed by independent vendors.

13. Taxation and Compliance with Local Laws

Vendors are exclusively responsible for complying with all local, state, and national laws. This includes:

  • Obtaining necessary licenses and permits for their trade.
  • Strict compliance with labor laws, including the absolute prohibition of employing minors for tasks.
  • Reporting and payment of any taxes (such as GST or Income Tax) arising from the income earned through your services. Where legally mandated, Paiti may collect and remit Taxes Deducted at Source (TDS) or Taxes Collected at Source (TCS) as per prevailing Indian tax laws.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

This policy and your partnership with Paiti shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of your use of the platform and connection with customers shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in [City/State, India].

15. Use of Paiti Branding

Vendors may mention their partnership with Paiti for the purpose of identifying themselves as verified partners. However, you may not use the Paiti logo or brand name in a way that suggests you are an employee or that Paiti is responsible for your individual business operations.

Together, let's build a stronger, self-reliant community where skill is respected and work is rewarding.
